Corporate Insolvencies Fall

Corporate failures in the U K have fallen by 8.8% during the first 3 months of 2007.
In the first quarter Voluntary Liquidations were down 9.1%; Compulsory Liquidations down 0.5%; Receiverships down 50.8%; Administration Orders down 11.8% and Company Voluntary Arrangements down 16.8%.
This is the first time that Administration Orders have reduced since the introduction of the Enterprise Act in 2003. This is against 4 increases in interest rates and a large increase in personal insolvencies.
